Difference Between Hastelloy C-276 and C-22

Hastelloy alloy material commonly used two kinds of C-276 and C-22.

Hastelloy C-276 alloy is a tungsten-containing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a very low silicon carbon content and is considered as a universal corrosion resistant alloy. The main moisture-resistant chlorine, a variety of oxidizing chlorides, chloride salt solution, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts, have good corrosion resistance in low temperature and medium temperature hydrochloric acid. Hastelloy C-22 is more resistant to even corrosion in oxidizing media than C-4 and C-276, and has excellent resistance to localized corrosion. Hastelloy C-276 has good resistance to oxidative and moderate reducing corrosion, excellent stress resistance Corrosion ability. Hastelloy C-2000 is the most comprehensive corrosion resistant alloy with excellent resistance to even corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
